Trips
Our
members love our weekend getaways! We have large annual
trips and we have smaller sport-specialty trips such
as kayaking and water-ski weekends. We'll mail out a
detailed itinerary with names and phone numbers of the
other people coming 2-weeks beforehand. We plan banquet
dinners, tennis tournaments, dancing, barbecues and
other activity to keep the group together and create
a fun trip. Here's an example of some of our annual

Palm
Desert Golf & Tennis Weekend - Every January
This is one of more popular trips. We stay at Shadow
Mountain Racquet Club in their beautiful, garden
setting condos. There's a tennis tournament, golf
tee times, volleyball, a beautiful pool - and that's
just the day-time activities. We organize a banquet
dinner,barbecue and dancing. It’s really a fun trips. |

Rosarito
- Every June
This trip is a blast! We set up sand volleyball
courts
on the beach, we ride horses, go golfing and then
get a little wild at some of the fun clubs in
town.

Ensenada
- Every September
Another huge, very successful trip. This is our
longest running tradition. The itinerary includes
a lunch along the way in La Fonda, golfing, tennis,
volleyball, water-skiing, get-acquainted cocktail
party, banquet dinner and dancing (of course). We
stay at Estero Beach Resort which sits on a beautiful
point. Most people get ocean view rooms. |

Water-skiing
This is when being a member of a private club
is the way to go. Because we seem to recruit plenty
of members with nice ski boats, organizing water-ski
trips has never been a problem. We even have a
private home that we stay at, right on the Colorado
River and another trip to Big Bear at another
beautiful home. Our trips are very reasonable
since we are simply chipping in to help cover
gas and some group meals. We typically go once-a-month,
plus we also put together local, one-day events.

River
Rafting
What a great time this is! You can count on ASA
to have at least one white water rafting trip each
season. We've gone to the American River, Merced,
and the Kern for our river rafting. You may even
want to try an inflatable kayak for an exciting
challenge! |

Ski Vacations!
Skiing is a big sport in ASA. We typically organize
one Mammoth trip each month - a large bus trip
where we get everybody together from all three
clubs and stay in nice condos. It’s great meeting
people from all three ASA locations! We also have
annual trips to Utah and Colorado and have an
annual Big Bear Ski Trip staying at one of the
members’ beautiful homes. We have also skied Italy,
France and even New Zealand! Come with us this
ski season. Our slogan is "Powder to the People"!
